BOARDING
Welcome to the "Pierce Hotel for Schnoodles!" We love to have our Schnoodles stay with us…not only do we get to see our "alumni," it gives us a chance to get to know their unique personalities a little better.
What to Expect
We treat each dog like one of our own—that means that they stay right in our house with us. Your Schnoodle will get lots of playtime outside, one-on-one attention, and time to hang with any current litters of pups (and, of course, Dillon). Take a look:
What to Bring
If you board your Schnoodle with us, please bring:
- Crate. We set it up along side Princess's crate, as she loves hers' so much, so they will also have company at night when crated.
- Towels, pad, or blankie for the crate.
- Food. Bring whatever you are feeding your Schnoodle so that he/she can stay on the same diet.
- Feeding bowl, since dogs enjoy the consistency of familiarity.
- Special treats or toys they like to sleep and play with. (We have to watch the toys as Dillon likes to steal them and try to make them his own!) Of course, we have baskets of toys, but again dogs like familiar belongings when they're away from home.
- Collar and leash. We generally only let the dogs out in our fenced-in back yard. But, in the event of a walk or car trip, a collar and leash is good to have.
- Name and phone number of your veterinarian. We've never had to call a vet yet, and in the event of an emergency we would use our vet here in Pittsboro, but it's good to have access to your pet's records should we need them.
- Please have your vet fax your pet's current shot records to our vet (remember, bordatella for kennel cough is required prior to boarding); the fax number is 919-542-5244.
- Your cell phone number and/or contact numbers. Feel free to call or email us while your baby is boarding with us for an update. Generally, it only takes a few minutes after mom/dad leave for a dog to begin acting like, "Wow! Let's play and have fun!"
- Anything else that is special for your Schnoodle, such as vitamins, medicine. Don't forget to include clear instructions.
Fees
Our boarding fee is $20 a night. We accept cash or check, payable when you pick up your baby. If your Schnoodle gets dirty while playing in the yard or if he/she is here for a length of time, a complimentary bath is included prior to pickup time.
Optional Grooming Services
If you wish, your Schnoodle can visit the Pampered Pet Salon, a full-service grooming salon in Pittsboro. A day or two before your return, we'll pamper your pet with a bath, ear cleaning, toenail trim, professional Schnoodle haircut, and a spiffy bandana. The fee for a "full service" grooming appointment is $45 and is simply added to your boarding fee. Your pooch will look like a brand new dog right out of the parlor!
Your Schnoodle Will Have a Blast!
We love on our Schnoodles here at the "Pierce Hotel." Our boarders are just part of the family—they take naps with Renee, lounge on the couch, or hang out on the porch to enjoy the sunshine. Contact us next time you travel; we'd love to have your Schnoodle stay with us!
