CHRISTL

Latest Update: Christl has retired and gone to her permanent retirement home with the Cherry family of Virginia. They were looking for a new companion now that they are empty nesters and Christl was the perfect match. They love to walk and take drives and Christl loves both of those activities. It is a perfect match! After just 24 hours they called to say they already loved her. Here are some pictures of Christl enjoying her new family and new home:

   

CHRISTL'S STORY:

We had been wanting an all-white Schnauzer for some time when we learned that Christl was available. We went to see her and, of course, fell in love instantly. At that time, she was only six months old, and was very timid and shy. Her life to that point hadn't been ideal; she was just one of many dogs living in a small area and receiving little one-on-one attention.

When Christl first came home with us, she had to make a lot of adjustments—she was not accustomed to personal freedom, affection and attention, and unconditional love. Today, she adores Earl! He has spent a lot of extra time bringing her "out of her shell."

In her home environment, Christl is comfortable and at ease. She does love to travel, but can become anxious when we're not close by. She usually adapts within a couple of days, but prefers "home turf." She has produced beautiful litters of light-colored pups and is an exceptional mom.
