Hi Renee!
Moose is such a sweetie — when he’s not all wound up! He’s been going through a phase where all he wants to chew on is whatever part of me he can get his mouth around. He’s a funny little guy, too. I think I must have spent a couple hundred dollars on toys, and what are his favorite things? Cardboard boxes and empty soda bottles! He’s such a kid! But it has made for some pretty funny photos and videos.
Moose is also growing like a weed! I can’t believe that he’s practically doubled in size since I picked him up. And I can’t wait to be able to take him to puppy class and the groomer. With all that silver, he’ll be a dashing little man — like he wasn’t hard to resist in the first place!
I can tell already that he’s going to be extremely bright (though it’s dangerous when your dog is smarter than you are). I didn’t have to teach him to fetch! As soon as he was comfortable enough to play with me, which took a couple of days, he just brought the toys back so I could throw them again! I’ve had dogs that never mastered that skill.
He also made his first trip to Duke yesterday to spend the day with me and my labmates. I was a bit apprehensive, since he really doesn’t like being left alone (god forbid mom wants to take a shower!), but he was great. He played a little, and slept a lot. I even got to sneak off to the restroom a couple of times. But, since he was immensely popular, I think he’ll be going back.
Moose has attached a few of his favorite photos, so you’ll recognize him when he comes. He sends a wag, and wants me to tell you he’s looking forward to seeing you again. But now he’s sleepy, so he’ll talk to you soon!
Thanks for bringing us together!
